As Kate Middleton turns 36, she's beginning to channel more and more of the much-loved Princess Diana
Kate is now the same age as Princess Diana was when she tragically died.
Since the start of her marriage to Prince William, Kate Middleton has been compared to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana. However, we think she has never looked more like the beloved royal as she does right now.
Kate has just turned 36, and the growth of her stature as a member of the royal family has been tremendous. She was once simply the girlfriend of Prince William, whose "questionable" past was dug up by the paparazzi and flung at us.
She then went on to become a "dutiful wife" and royal family member. Now, she has a new member joining her family soon, and the responsibility of guiding Meghan Markle (who is a few months older) through the minefield of royal pomp and etiquette.
We love her as the doting mother to the adorable Prince George and Princess Charlotte, and the British public have come to love her almost as much as they loved Diana.
Here is a side-by-side look at Kate and Diana in their various roles as members of the royal family:

Diana was 36, when she tragically died in a car crash in 1997. Kate, on the other hand, is going to be a mother for the third time at 36.
