Angelina Jolie is ready for love, but it is going to be an uphill battle
Meanwhile, the star is enjoying her holiday with her children in Paris.
Angelina Jolie told the entire world about her split with her decade-long husband in the fall of 2016. It was reported that Jolie decided to leave Brad Pitt after he got into an argument with one of their six children during a trip.
Ever since the split, the actress and humanitarian has been single, putting the crucial role of being a mother first. According to reports, she made sure that she was there for every single birthday and even threw lavish parties for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas for her large clan.
In a nutshell, Jolie has been putting her needs as a woman last. The mother of six would love to find love again, but she’s not sure how long it will take considering the fact that she is completely devoted to her family.
“Angie is a mother first and an actress second and when you put this together and her status in Hollywood and then add all the causes she is a part of the thing that takes the back seat is her quest for love,” a source close to Angelina revealed to Hollywood Life. “She’d love to be with someone but completely understands the baggage, for lack of a better word, that she brings. She really hopes something would happen but she is not holding her breath and she is very aware it is an uphill battle to get there.”
With how tightly knit Angelina and her ex-husband Brad Pitt were with their children, we can definitely understand why the actress would want to remain the same way even as a single woman.
It was previously revealed that Pitt, who has allegedly dated several Hollywood beauties before getting married to Jolie, is not confident enough that his soon-to-be ex-wife has it in her to make a relationship work.
The source shared at the time: “Brad understands that the best, most healthy and lasting relationships need lots of compromises so whoever has a shot at marrying Angelina will need to give up a lot to fit into her challenging lifestyle. Brad feels that while he wishes her the best, after several failed marriages for Angelina, the right guy for her might not exist.”
The same insider went on to say: “Brad is doubtful Angelina can have a successful marriage after theirs failed. Brad knows first hand how incredibly unique and challenging it is in Angelina’s family. Brad gave it everything he had and is disappointed they could not stay together.”
Jolie has been traveling with her six children — Maddox, 16, Zahara, 13, Pax, 14, Shiloh, 11, and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. Jolie and her children have been to several countries to take part in humanitarian works and to film documentaries, given that she is a UN Goodwill Ambassador.
Quite recently, Jolie and her eldest daughters paid a visit to the Zataari refugee camp in Jordan. According to People, this was Shiloh’s third visit to the camp and Zahara’s first. Later, the Hollywood actress visited Paris and Louvre with her six children.
Officially in the country to do an appearance for Guerlain, she also found time to meet with the first lady of France, Brigitte Macron. Jolie trekked to the Elysee Palace to speak with Macron about Syrian refugees, who she has been advocating for.
