She graces the highly anticipated cover in a fuschia pink two-piece bikini looking like a million bucks.
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue is out - and it has a fresh new face on it.
Model Danielle Herrington graces the highly anticipated cover in a fuschia pink two-piece bikini looking like a million bucks.
The young brunette posted her cover shot in an emotional post on Instagram, captioned, "This is my first cover ever and I am beyond speechless! I dedicate this to all the young girls out there. Work hard, surround yourself with good people who believe in you and your DREAMS WILL COME TRUE!"
The 24-year-old, who is the third black woman in the history of the series to be on the cover of the magazine told Good Morning America that she is "over the moon".
"I was in tears," she said as she recalled the moment she got the news, "I was balling ... I worked so hard for this. To see my hard work pay off, I reached my dream."
She is also happy to be a part of Beyonce's and Tyra Banks' legacy and hopes to be like them. "I am so overwhelmed by it. I can't wait to be a businesswoman like them."
Tyra Banks also seems to be proud of Herrington. During the same show, she recorded a special message for her that said, "Do you really understand what's going down right now? Do you really understand how your life is going to change? So many little girls are looking at you and saying "Oh my Gosh, that could be me one day."
She continued in her classic America's Next Top Model persona, "There are so many people telling little girls that look like us that we're not good enough and that we can't achieve our goals, but by them looking at me back in the day and them looking at you now, you are the living embodiment to say that dreams do come true."
Herrington is a native of Compton, California and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. But even before she landed this gig, she's had her share of the cake. She has modeled for the 2018 CR Girls Calendar, strutted her stuff on the runway in Philipp Plein's creations shows and was also featured on GQ, reported AOL.
