Anastasia Steele's wedding dress from Fifty Shades Freed is every bride's dream
The wedding dress in the last installment of the 50 shades series is beautiful - no debates about it.
The final instalment of the 50 Shades franchise, Fifty Shades Freed, is out and whether you like the movie or not, there is no divided opinion when it comes to Anastasia Steele's wedding dress.
The character, portrayed by actress Dakota Johnson, has always been a risk taker when it comes to fashion.
If you look at the first movie in the series, Fifty Shades of Grey, her fashion choices have evolved as her character progressed.
Her graduation dress, the grey-green sheer halter neck detail dress to her super famous peach frill neck dress that she wore in her date scene with Mr. Christian Grey, her fashion choices have always been on point.
The second movie Fifty Shades Darker showed that her fashion choices got bolder - remember the slinky silver floor-length slip dress she paired with a fur throw and bejeweled silver masquerade mask? Gorgeous!
After this many great fashion moments, the wedding dress in the final movie had to be amazing - and the makers of the film did not disappoint.
The lacy off shoulder number is designed by fashion legend Monique Lhuillier. From the looks of it, the gown has a line of buttons on the back, leading all the way down to her tulle frill, where it disappears. The fitted bodice is sheer exposing her back. It has a sweetheart neckline underneath.
This full sleeved all lace gown was a reflection of the character's personality, the designer told Elle.
"I wanted to make sure it was iconic and very memorable because once it's in a film it lives forever. So I wanted to create something traditional but with a modern twist, and really make sure it encompassed Anastasia's personality.
"I also wanted it to have the aesthetic of my collections, knowing the reason they came to me was showcasing my design aesthetic through the character."
Lacy, feminine, flattering and not to mention timeless, this dress is perfect for any bride. Unfortunately, it is only available on a made to order basis. Let's hope Monique Lhuillier has a change of heart and makes it available online.
