'Ramy' season 2: Release date, plot, cast and everything you need to know about the Hulu show

The second season of the show starring co-creator and writer Ramy Youssef as a young Muslim man is set for a spring 2020 premiere on Hulu

Set in New Jersey, Hulu's 'Ramy' follows a first-generation Egyptian-American man.

The first season of the show debuted on April 19 and it has already been renewed for its second installment.

The 10-episode first season stars co-creator and writer Ramy Youssef as a young Muslim man struggling to make sense of his dual identities. He still follows traditions at home with his parents and sister but also strives to be in tune with his friends as a young American boy.

Youssef told Entertainment Weekly in an interview: "I knew I wanted to make something about Arab Muslims. I try to be as specific as possible when saying ‘Arab Muslims’ because there are a lot of different Muslims. I’ve never really seen stories about us in America, at least where you had versions of our characters that weren’t framed by violence."
