Paris Olympics 2024: Who is Rai Benjamin's girlfriend? Time, date and how to stream men's 400m final
PARIS, FRANCE: After the historic win at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, Rai Benjamin is gearing up for his participation in the Olympics 2024, scheduled to take place in France from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
The athlete known for his promising performance on track, was in a relationship with Talia DeLuca, a Miami-based coach and instructor. However, the duo seems to have parted ways.
Who is Talia DeLuca?
As per First Sportz, Benjamin was dating Talia DeLuca since 2019. DeLuca served as ACE certified Personal Trainer at the American Council on Exercise. In 2022, she founded a fitness-based platform called Toned by Tal.
She has a Political Science major with a minor in Managing for Social Impact concentrating in Environmental and Economic Sustainability from Boston College.
However, it appears that DeLuca and Benjamin are no longer together. On December 3, 2023, DeLuca shared some romantic pictures with another man named Vaughn Walker. They were seen sharing a kiss in one of the pictures and even confessed love for each other in the comment section.

Rai Benjamin won silver medal at Tokyo Olympics 2021
At the Tokyo Olympics, American hurdler Rai Benjamin, who won the silver medal in the men's 400m hurdles, effectively ran the greatest race of his life on August 3, 2021. But he was still bested by Karsten Warholm of Norway, who won the gold.
Benjamin smashed the 400-meter hurdles world record by 0.6 seconds. But Warholm beat it by 0.76 seconds. Warholm’s time was 45.94 seconds, closely beating Benjamin, who finished it in 46.17 seconds.
“If you would have told me I would run 46.1 and lose, I would probably beat you up. I’d tell you to get out of my room,” said the 34-year-old American athlete after the event. “This was probably the best race in Olympic history. I don’t even think Usain Bolt’s (9.58-second 100 meters) topped that.”
"I would say this was probably the best race ever, in Olympic history," Benjamin emphasized. "I don't think any other race compares to what we just did, about two hours ago. It's undeniable. Like, there's nothing you can compare to what just happened out there."
At the US Olympic trials in June, Benjamin came close to breaking the event’s longstanding world record, coming within .05 seconds of the mark that Kevin Young had set in winning Olympic gold for the U.S. in 1992 -- 46.78 seconds. But at the finals in Tokyo, it wasn’t just Benjamin and Warholm who broke that record -- Alison dos Santos of Brazil, who won the bronze medal also bested Young’s legacy.
But this race was magnificent in other ways as well. Six of the eight men in the race set new national records for their respective nations. The times recorded by fourth- and fifth-place finishers, Kyron McMaster of the British Virgin Islands and Abderrahman Samba of Qatar, would have won gold medals at any of the past five Olympic Games.
"No one in history is going to go out there and do what we just did, just now," Benjamin said about his and Warholm’s achievements. And while no one can predict the future, the probabilities weigh heavy against anyone trying to outdo what the world saw in Tokyo.
