R. Kelly skipped a court hearing saying he was afraid someone might step on his infected toe.

The disgraced R&B star did not attend his status hearing in Chicago on Wednesday, October 30, following the series of sexual assault allegations made against him by numerous women and girls.

Kelly's lawyer attorney Steven Greenberg shared that Kelly missed the hearing as he was suffering from an infected toe, reported Chicago Tribune.

He also added that Kelly was concerned about someone stepping on his toe while being transported from the Metropolitan Correctional Center to the courthouse. He was reportedly excused from court after Greenberg spoke to U.S. District Judge Harry Leinenweber and told him that the infection resulted in him losing a toenail.

While speaking to reporters, Greenberg also revealed that Kelly has taken to wearing a walking boot in order to deal with the pain.

The 'Burn it Up' singer is facing charges of sex-trafficking, sexual assault and child pornography across Brooklyn, Chicago, and Minneapolis.

In June, Kelly had pleaded not guilty to 11 felony sexual abuse counts after he was charged by Cook County prosecutors in Chicago. The charges also included five counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault which came from one accuser who claims she was underage when she was abused by Kelly.

Around a month later, Kelly was arrested again on federal charges which included child pornography, racketeering and obstruction of justice in both Illinois and New York. Kelly has been in jail ever since he was denied bail.

The six-part documentary series 'Surviving R. Kelly' interviews several former friends, family members and colleagues who all claim that the singer would abuse women and young girls.

It was only last year that many women spoke out and revealed that Kelly was allegedly running a sex cult and a woman had even filed a lawsuit claiming he treated her like a sex slave.
