In a time where social distancing is keeping us cooped up and the demand for streaming sites is surging with these each passing day, Quibi, America’s first mobile-only streaming network which launched today, April 6, has dropped a string of bite-sized series.

‘Flipped’ is one of the many short series presented by Quibi, which follows Jann (Will Forte) and Cricket Melfi (Kaitlin Olson), a married couple who are home renovation experts by profession. Their life turns upside down on discovering a stash of millions during one of their projects for a home renovation television show, which belongs to a drug cartel.

However, their millionaire dreams are short-lived as the drug lord who the money belongs to learns about the couple’s mischievousness and ask them to renovate properties of the members of the cartel in the form of payback.

Although the one-minute-long trailer which gives glimpses of the couple’s misadventures and their life after coming under the watch of the cartel, has clocked over 6.7 million views, the first episode which dropped today has garnered mixed reviews from fans.

While many of tweets that started pouring in much before the show premiered reflected the excitement of the viewers who were eagerly waiting to watch the bite-sized show, the ones that came in later carried a different opinion about Quibi’s latest series.

While one Twitter user who seems to have liked Flipped wrote, “Keep six feet of social distance and watch #Flipped on #Quibi. It's free for the next three months, A perfect amount of time to focus on something else for a change. @kaitlinolson and @orvilleiv are comedy wizards”

“Fun, free, new distraction don't fall out of trees during these bummer times. I'll even sweeten the pot with killer performances by @KaitlinOlson and @OrvilleIV” added another.

Meanwhile, some of the viewers have noted that they watched the show only for Will Forte. “Just fired up the #Quibi app. So curious what people watched first? I went with Flipped.  I will watch Will Forte in anything,” tweeted one of his fans.

However, another user who feels ‘Flipped’ didn’t keep up to their expectation, wrote, “Watching Kaitlin Olson and Will Forte’s #Flipped. Not many laughs. #Quibi.”
