Prom night arrives, but for best friends Jess and Hannah, it doesn't quite go as planned. Waking up to a mysterious gift box containing a beautiful dress, Jess starts the night with a glimmer of hope.

Meanwhile, Hannah faces the fallout from her secret identity being revealed. Her ex-boyfriend, Greg (Kenny Ridwan) arrives, angry and confused. Instead of reconciliation, their conversation ends with Greg leaving Hannah heartbroken by telling her that she should have told him.

Alone at a seemingly endless party, Jess tries to fill the void by taking pictures for other girls, all while scrolling through Hannah's phone, missing her friend dearly. The urge to connect with Hannah overpowers her, and Jess takes a car, rushing to Hannah's place.

There, she confesses to liking Jacob, but her heart remains focused on mending their broken friendship. A kiss with Jacob is interrupted by the news that Hannah has left for prom. Jess, determined to reach her friend, speeds off again.

At the prom, Hannah takes a bold step. Seizing the mic from DJ Tony Turnpike, she delivers a powerful message about embracing her true identity. Jess arrives just in time to witness this moment of self-acceptance and cheers her friend on.

Hannah, vulnerable yet empowered, uses the microphone to express her lingering feelings for Greg, emphasizing the importance of their friendship despite their romantic incompatibility. This declaration is followed by a song dedicated to him.

Across the room, Jess's date (Jordan Buhat) turns out to be a jerk, making insensitive jokes about Hannah. Fueled by love and loyalty, Jess punches him. This outburst sparks reconciliation between the best friends as Hannah rushes to comfort a tearful Jess.

Despite feeling rejected by Angie (Terry Hu), a girl she admired, Hannah finds comfort in a newfound friendship offer. Angie sees a chance to be a positive influence, guiding Hannah on her journey of self-discovery.

Finally, back at home, ditching the after-party, Jess and Hannah share a peaceful moment. They laugh, and click a picture, symbolizing the strength of their bond that weathered a prom night of chaos and uncertainty.
