'Project Runway': Chelsey Carter's 'unfair' elimination has livid fans wishing it was Victoria Cocieru instead

Chelsey Carter designed a fitted sheer jacket that had a ribbon bra and nude bandage skirt underneath but judges called it an almost wardrobe malfunction

Chelsey Carter was sent home in this week's episode of 'Project Runway'. The designers were tasked with a sheer challenge, where the idea was to have the fabric do the talking. While some rose to the 1-day challenge, others were severely criticized for putting together not-so-great garments.

Chelsey's ribbon bra, nude bandage skirt underneath a sheer fitted jacket with cutout sleeves in powder blue was the least favorite of judges Brandon Maxwell, Nina Garcia, Elaine Welteroth and guest judge Paloma Elsesser. They said there was no fluidity in it and that the garment was this close to a wardrobe malfunction.

It was a surprising eviction considering she had everyone's vote when she sent down her model in a billowing varsity jacket, winning the heritage challenge fair and square. However, Chelsey left the show chin-up and packing in all of her experiences on the show. As she prepared to walk off the runway, Chelsey told the judges how much she valued their feedbacks.

Victoria Cocieru, who almost quit because she wasn't happy with the way her outfit shaped up, cried as she described her outfit and how she didn't want to look at it all. Brandon thought it went through a paper shredder, but Nina was feeling positive about it as it celebrated the model's body and sat well on her curves.

Meanwhile, fans are not one bit pleased about the decision and are in shock over Chelsey's elimination.

"How the fuck did Chelsey get sent home over crybaby ass Victoria who makes the same thing every week?! #ProjectRunway," a viewer asked. Another posted: "So the judges decide to reward Victoria's toddler level temper tantrum by allowing her to stay. Not cool. Chelsey's look had problems, but this decision was just wrong. #ProjectRunway."

"Noooooooooo! Attitude should count here dang it. Victoria should be out NOT CHELSEY! #ProjectRunway," a user tweeted.

"Project Runway tonight was BulLSHIT!! I literally can not believe Chelsey got sent home. Super unfair, and WRONG. #projectrunway," another fan expressed.
