'Project Power': Meet Jamie Foxx, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and rest of the cast of Netflix's sci-fi film
A pill that gives you superpowers — how unusual does that sound? But don't get carried away, these powers have consequences. Well, if you are warming up to the idea already, you'll probably be interested in 'Project Power', which will hit Netflix on August 14.
Starring Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the film has been directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman and Mattson Tomlin serves as a writer. Ray Angelic and Orlee-Rose Strauss serve as executive producers, and Eric Newman and Bryan Unkeless serve as producers.
The official plot synopsis of the film reads: "On the streets of New Orleans, word begins to spread about a mysterious new pill that unlocks superpowers unique to each user. The catch: You don’t know what will happen until you take it. While some develop bulletproof skin, invisibility, and super strength, others exhibit a deadlier reaction. But when the pill escalates crime within the city to dangerous levels, a local cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) teams with a teenage dealer (Dominique Fishback) and a former soldier fueled by a secret vendetta (Jamie Foxx) to fight power with power and risk taking the pill in order to track down and stop the group responsible for creating it."

Jamie Foxx
Foxx won much acclaim for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the 2004 biographical film 'Ray', for which he earned the Academy Award, BAFTA, Screen Actors Guild Award, Critics' Choice Movie Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. He was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the crime film 'Collateral'. Since spring 2017, Foxx has been the host and executive producer of the Fox game show 'Beat Shazam'.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Joseph is recognized for his roles as Arthur in 'Inception' (2010), Joe in 'Looper' (2012), Jon in 'Don John' (2013) and Adam in '50/50' (2011). His recent works include 'Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi'. 'Endgame', '7500' and 'Knives Out'. The release 'The Trial of the Chicago 7' is in post-production, 'Mr Corman' in pre-production and 'Wingmen' and 'K Troop' have been announced. He began his career as a child star in 'Third Rock From The Sun' and '10 Things I Hate About You'.
