'Private Lives' Episode 10: Bok-gi, Joo-eun, Jeong-hwan and Han Son decide to work together to bring GK down
At the end of 'Private Lives' Episode 9, we saw how Joo-eun's mother was held at knifepoint and was forced to lure her daughter in so that GK can capture her and use her as a pawn for their grand plan against the current presidential candidate. So if she does get captured then Jeong-hwan will also be brought into the equation as the man who employed an industrial spy.
However, at the end of the Episode 9 promo, we see Joo-eun has escaped GK's plans. Not just that, she also meets Han Son and Bok-gi who had partnered up with Joo-eun earlier to track Edward Kim down.
Turns out, Joo-eun has understood how important she is to Jeong-hwan to be used as a bait. Once she realizes this, their relationship may not be repaired, but the possibility for the two of them to work together would definitely increase. When the two of them work together, they have a big chance of bringing the corrupt Vision Room of GK down. Especially now that Edward Kim has rejoined the Vision Room, we can expect more incidents such as the fire accident to occur.
This is the reason why a rift had appeared between Edward and Jeong-hwan. Edward is an arsonist who enjoys starting a fire and seeing lives being destroyed. Being aware of how different Jeong-hwan is from himself, Edward plans an entire fire with the idea of killing people to use in aiding GK's plan. This is not what Jeong-hwan was instructed and when he sees so many lives being destroyed, he is disillusioned.
Right after this, he also sees Edward confess wanting to kill all of these people and this is the final straw. Jeong-hwan openly opposes his mentor and, if what we saw in the promo is anything to go by, Edward seems to hold all of this in his head still. He even asks one time who GK chooses, him or Jeong-hwan. In addition to this, his former partner Bok-gi also joining Jeong-hwan is going to add a lot more pressure on Edward.
Jeong-hwan has also realized that Bok-gi has the Black Book and the race from now is going to be all about the race to acquire this book to gain power and this is going to be exciting to watch!
