Princess Madeleine reveals the name and title of baby daughter as she makes her Instagram debut

Princess Madeliene is on a roll, and the Royal has amped up her social media presence to prove the point. The Swedish princess, who recently gave birth to a baby daughter last week with husband Chris O'Neill, has now reportedly joined the social media platform Instagram with her own public account, according to Royal Central.

This comes as a surprise to people worldwide, as it is an unspoken rule for Royals to not have any social media presence apart from what has been officially assigned to them. In that respect, Princess Eugenie of York also broke Royal protocol when she became the first royal ever to join a social media account like Instagram last week.

And it looks like Princess Madeleine is fast catching up with her royal counterparts. She made the announcement of her Instagram account yesterday morning on her official Facebook page. The account is expected to be verified by the social media company soon.

Moreover, the princess inaugurated her account with the most beautiful picture of all times, a photo of her newborn daughter, along with her other two siblings, Princess Leonore and Prince Nicolas.

She captioned the picture:  “Leonore and Nicolas welcoming their little sister home. ❤” The photo shows Leonore and Nicolas meeting their little sister for the first time at the family’s home at the Royal Mews in Stockholm.

She is the first member of the Swedish Royal Family to have an official Instagram. Before now, there was only an official page “Kungahuset” for the Royal Family. And she seems to be making full use of her new account, including the reveal of her daughter's name and title.

As soon as Madeleine's father King Carl XVI Gustaf revealed the name and title of his new grandchild, Her Royal Highness Princess Adrienne Josephine Alice, Duchess of Blekinge, in a Council of State meeting on Monday, the royal member posted a picture of her daughter's new name on her Instagram account.

Adrienne is chosen by Madeleine and Chris, while Josephine is a traditional Bernadotte family name and also happens to be Madeleine's fourth name. Alice is the name of Adrienne's maternal great-grandmother, Alice Sommerlath, Queen Silvia's mum.

Princess Madeleine's husband Chris was present at the birth and later said: "We are thrilled about the new addition to our family. Leonore and Nicolas are looking very much forward to finally meeting their new little sister."
