Prince Harry plays Stone Roses' lyrics 'I'd like to leave the country' in his 'last' royal appearance video

A video posted on the Sussex Royal's Instagram page on Thursday, January 16, that may be Prince Harry's last-ever royal engagement post-'Megxit', had an ominous Stone Roses song playing in the background with the lyrics, "I'd like to leave the country".

In the video that was shared on Instagram Stories, the Duke of Sussex was seen turning around to flash a huge smile before entering one of the rooms in Buckingham Palace to face waiting cameras to host the official draw for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup.

In the behind-the-scenes video, the father-of-one can be seen smiling and laughing as he mixed with officials at the event.

The video was set to the tune of 'This is the One' in the background, which had suggestive lyrics such as leaving the United Kingdom "for a month of Sundays".

“A girl consumed by fire, we all know her desire — from the plans that she has made, I had her on a promise," the lyrics go. "All the plans that I have made — this is the one," the song says, threatening to "burn the town where I was born."

The lyrics — which are also a paean to a loved one — are also believed by insiders to suggest the fact the Harry was missing his wife, Meghan Markle, who is currently in Canada with the couple's infant child, Archie.

Following the all-important 'Megxit' meeting at Sandringham, Norfolk, earlier this week, Harry was reportedly supposed to fly back to Canada to join his wife and son but decided to stay back to complete one last royal engagement, which was pre-scheduled.

While interacting with youngsters as they played on the palace grounds, Harry avoided answering questions about Megxit. "Look after the grass though, yeah? Otherwise, I'll get in trouble," he playfully quipped, according to a Page Six report.

In one of the videos posted on Wednesday on Harry and Meghan's Instagram account, the Duke of Sussex talked about mental health — a subject he has been passionately involved in for the last few years.
