Following its predecessor, 'Original Sin', this new installment will be available on Max. The series kicks off with the first two episodes on its premiere date, continuing with weekly episodes. Mark your calendars for the season finale on June 20.
Two years after the finale of the first season, we're introduced to 'Original Sin', a compelling spin-off from the original Freeform series.
Set in a Pennsylvania town miles from Rosewood, 'Original Sin' adopts a darker, more gruesome look. Despite its heightened gore, this new series shifts towards a more grounded approach.
'Summer School' marks the upcoming season of 'Original Sin', under the direction of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Leading the cast are Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, and Maia Reficco.
What happened in 'Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin'?
We meet Imogen, a pregnant teen living with her mother Davie, who has a troubled past. Flashback to twenty years ago, a girl named Angela dies by suicide at a rave party, unnoticed by others. In 2022, Imogen receives a letter related to the same party, and Davie ends up harming herself, leaving behind a mysterious 'A' symbol.
Imogen moves in with her friend Tabby and her mother Sidney. They're joined by other girls, including Minnie, Noa, and Faran, each with their own struggles. They bond over shared adversity, especially as they face blackmail and threats from an unknown enemy.
As the season progresses, they suspect Karen Beasley, daughter of the sheriff, of being behind the threats. They attempt to expose her, but their plan backfires when Karen is killed during a confrontation. The girls realize they're being targeted by a masked assailant seeking revenge for their mothers' past actions, including Angela's death.
Despite the danger, the teens resolve to uncover the truth behind Angela's demise while evading their relentless pursuer. Kelly confronts her father, revealing her knowledge of his abuse towards young men in his community service program. She also accuses him of raping Angela Waters and suggests that Karen's death was orchestrated in retaliation against him.
In a shocking turn, Kelly's mother intervenes, fatally injuring her husband. This leads to Sheriff Beasley, Archie, and Principal Clapton being rushed to the hospital. Imogen gives birth to a baby girl and decides to put her up for adoption to a couple from Rosewood, Aria Montgomery, and Ezra Fitz. Noa's mother agrees to enter rehab, while Imogen and Tabby opt to file charges against Chip.
Despite his earlier arrest, Chip was released on parole just a day before Christmas Day. In the final scene, it's revealed that Chip has escaped and stabbed Sheriff Beasley. He heads to Chip's house and attempts to retaliate by stabbing him.

In the gripping follow-up to 'Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin', the second season, dubbed 'Summer School', sees our heroines facing a dilemma more daunting than death itself - being stuck in summer school.
However, the official synopsis reads, "Following the harrowing events of "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin,” our Pretty Little Liars face a fate worse than death - summer school. However, Millwood High isn’t the only thing getting in the way of their fun summer jobs and new, dreamy love interests."
The synopsis further reads, "A new villain, who may or may not have a connection to A, has come to town and is going to put them all to the test."
