Presidential Debate 2020: Biden calls Trump 'this fella' and 'this guy', Internet says, 'must have forgotten his name'

Biden had said, 'This is the same fella who told you it was going to end by Easter. He has no clear plan'

The second and final presidential debate between President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden is underway at Belmont University in Nashville. This is another valuable opportunity for both candidates to present their ideas to the US voters. It is moderated by Kristen Welker of NBC News. As expected the first topic of discussion was pandemic.

Trump at one point said, "I take full responsibility. It’s not my fault that it came here. It’s China’s fault.” During the debate, POTUS also claimed the coronavirus vaccine is “ready” and “going to be announced within weeks.” When prodded if that's a guarantee, Trump said, “No, it’s not a guarantee, but I think it will be by the end of the year.” During the debate, Trump also criticized Biden’s proposals on the coronavirus response, saying, “All he talks about is shutdowns. No, we’re not going to shut down.” Biden responded, “I’m going to shut down the virus, not the country.” Biden also said that Trump has no plan for the pandemic.

Biden said, “This is the same fella who told you it was going to end by Easter. He has no clear plan.” At one point, when Trump tried to attack Biden about allegations that have been leveled against his son Hunter regarding his business activities in Ukraine. The former vice president answered, “The guy who got in trouble in Ukraine was this guy - trying to bribe the Ukrainian government to say something negative about me.” At one point Biden also said, “It’s not about his family and my family. It’s about your family, and your family is hurting badly.”

Now, Biden addressing Trump by calling him ‘this fella’ and ‘this guy’ became a point of discussion on Twitter. A user tweeted, “This fella”. He must have forgotten his name.” One commented, “This is the same fella"?  Who says fella?  sounds like malarkey to me.” One alleged, “When Biden says ‘fella’ I’m pretty sure he means that as a slur.” Another stated, “Hydration game Take a sip of water every time Biden says “this guy.” One shared, “Legit laughed out loud when VP Biden just called Trump “This fella”.”
