Things got explosive on the eighth episode of 'Power Book II: Ghost' and with only two episodes left for the season to end, fans are waiting with bated breath to know what lies in Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr) and Tasha's (Naturie Naughton) future. Who is playing whom?

Jabari is onto Tariq and is putting aside his professor duties and tracking down Tariq as he has his suspicions about the Course Correct App. Meanwhile, Tariq is proving to be his father's son as he's caught in a love triangle with Effie, Lauren and Diana.

In Episode 8, Jabari questions Tariq, but our anti-hero is in no mood to give answers and airily walks off. Jabari gets frustrated because he knows something is off and begins to stalk him. Considering that Jabari barely had a role in the series, till now as he was just there to have sex with Carrie, this was more refreshing.  Tariq is caught in the trust game with Effie, because has had 'trust issues' in the past, but somehow she seems to wear him down. Effie and Tariq have had history back in the 'Power' days and it's clear that Tariq is actually himself with her and doesn't seem to hide too much from her. 2Bit is back, as we saw in Episode 7 and is ready to extract his pound of flesh from Tariq.

In Episode 9, from the promos, we might just see the return of Tommy Egan, at long last. Tommy had witnessed Tariq murdering Ghost and is a crucial witness and in fact, can change the whole legal drama around. But Tommy might not want it so easy for Tariq and could just be ready to throw him off the roof the first chance he gets. Worse, Tasha tried to pin the blame of Ghost's murder on Tommy in the first episode itself. Fans wonder if Tommy will run into Monet's (Mary J Blige) hotheaded son Cane. We can expect a team-up, or...we can expect Tommy to use him to find Tariq and then kill them both.

If memory serves us right, the last we saw of Tommy was in 'Power', where he tried to start his life over again after the death of his partner LaKeisha (La La Anthony). Tommy is also set to appear in his own 'Power' spin-off called 'Force'.
