Sorry folks, but no 'Power Book II: Ghost' for you today. The mid-season finale might have left you in a twist, but it is going to take a couple of months before we see our hero... or rather anti-hero Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr) back in action again. The show is on a rather lengthy break as it was still in the process of finishing production before the world was struck by the pandemic.

There are still five episodes left to see, and they might end up airing by Christmas and New Year. This time, there won't be a break. There's speculation that it would return on December 6, though let's not get our hopes up too much. There are a lot of questions, one of them is, wondering what's going to become of Davis and Saxe's (Shane Johnson) plan to get Tariq behind bars.

A lot has happened gone down in the first episodes itself. Tasha (Naturie Naughton) took the blame for Ghost's death, all in a vain attempt to save her son Tariq, who has been running from pillar to post trying to get her out, and now has resorted to some highly illegal drug-related activities. In the mid-season finale, Saxe's niece Riley drugged Tariq, and in his haze, he went to his father and sister's gravestones where he confessed that he was the one who killed Ghost. Saxe recorded this, and now that he has crucial evidence in his fist, he is determined to put Tariq behind bars.

And this time, Davis is going to help him. The plan is to release Tasha, and get Tariq arrested. But here's the thing, as of late, Tariq has proved that he is always ten steps ahead of everyone else. So it's not likely that he will let them execute this plan without raising a few...obstacles. Apart from this, there's a lot of drama happening between the two professors in Tariq's college -- Jabari and Carrie, and fans just love to hate on the two of them and their over-dramatic sex lives.

'Power Book II: Ghost' airs on Sundays at 8 pm on StarZ.
