Holy smokes, 'Power Book II: Ghost' has been relentless with its twists and turns ever since the mid-season finale. Davis (Method Man) and Cooper Saxe's (Shane Johnson) little team-up comes to blows, Monet (Mary J Blige) almost holds Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr) at gunpoint only to almost die a few seconds later, and Tariq makes the shocking decision that he would like to confess to killing his father in court.

Who's playing whom? Davis lies to Tariq saying he has an 'expert witness', who happens to be Epiphany Turner. Unfortunately, Davis hasn't kept Paula in the loop about his collaboration with Saxe, and she is not pleased to learn about it at the end of the episode. Cooper and Saxe's meeting with Epiphany is recorded, making each think that the other is playing them. Tariq finds out about their plan to get Epiphany to free Tasha, and though he would seriously like to murder Epiphany, he decides to bribe her instead — with the money he owes Monet. Now that's a daring game, even for Tariq to play. Epiphany doesn't show up in court, creating further discord between Cooper and Saxe, and ending their clandestine team-up. The courtroom drama ends with Saxe saying that he would like to call Tariq on the stand.

Paula storms out on Davis after he tells her the truth, and she relays the entire sordid tale to Tariq. In the promo for the next episode, Tariq seems to have admitted defeat. He's ready to confess to killing his father in court. But this is Tariq, so we're ready to believe that he has some game up his sleeve.

There are several ways this could go. In the finale, Tasha might just be released from jail, and Tariq might turn himself in. Or, Tommy Egan could return, something that everyone has been waiting for. Tommy might just be the witness to the trial, free Tariq, only to kill him later, because he saw Tariq murdering Ghost, his close friend in the 'Power' finale. Either way, we're ready for a power-packed finale, because there's a lot that's going to go down.

'Power Book II: Ghost' airs on StarZ on Sundays at 8 pm.
