Cold Case: 29 years after 11-yr-old William Tillett was murdered, man arrested and charged
11-year-old William Tillet was kidnapped while walking home from school on May 24, 1990, and was later found dead the same day
A California man was arrested and charged in a 1990 cold case involving the kidnapping and killing of a young Inglewood boy. The Inglewood Police Department announced they had apprehended 50-year-old Edward Donnell Thomas, of Pomona, for the murder of 11-year-old William Tillett.
According to a press release by the department, on May 24, 1990, at approximately 3 pm, William was kidnapped while he was walking home from school in the area of Imperial Highway and Crenshaw Boulevard in the city of Inglewood.
