The Pitchfork Music Festival is an annual summer music festival organized by the prestigious music and entertainment conglomerate, Pitchfork Media, in the Union Park area of Chicago, Illinois.

Now in its 15th edition, the festival will return to the Windy City this year from July 17 to 19, and is set to feature a diverse boatload of talented artistes that span multiple genres and decades.

It has been revealed that mega-popular artistes Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Run The Jewels and The National will headline the three-day event, but there are plenty more musical acts who are sure to set the stages alight.

Brooklyn indie outfit Fiery Furnaces will be performing for the first time in nearly 10 years, so that's sure to be a treat! We are also looking forward to performances by Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, plus the phenomenally talented indie-rock heroines Waxahatchee, Angel Olsen and Sharon Van Etten.

Other notable musicians include hip-hop star Tierra Whack, screamo legends Deafheaven and the Savages frontwoman Jehnny Beth, who will be releasing her debut solo album in May this year.

Besides this, make sure you catch the performances of experimental artistes like the glitchy Fennesz, the queer-pop virtuoso SOPHIE and Tim Hecker (with The Konoyo Ensemble) who are sure to refresh and cleanse your musical palate.

And if you're in the mood to just straight-up dance the evening away, look no further than the groove-worthy sets of Danny Brown, Thundercat and BADBADNOTGOOD.
