Pink taking year-long sabbatical to focus on kids and husband Carey Hart: 'He follows me around the world and now it's his turn'
Pink is reportedly planning to take a year-long sabbatical in a bid to spend more time with her family. Ever since returning from a five-year hiatus with her 2017 record 'Beautiful Trauma' and this year's follow-up 'Hurts 2B Human', the 40-year-old sensation has had a hectic streak.
And so she has decided to take a break in 2020 so she can focus on the needs of her family, including husband Carey Hart and their children Willow, 8, and Jameson, 2. "We did two and a half years of [music], and Willow's back in school now," Pink told Entertainment Tonight. "Jameson's going to start pre-school soon. It's kind of the year of the family. And Carey has a lot going on as well. He's super supportive, he follows me around the world and now it's his turn."
The 'Just Like Fire' hitmaker walked the red carpet once again with her beloved family Wednesday at the 53rd CMA Awards at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Pink was then asked why she chooses to bring them along.
"They just make it fun for me. They have so much fun," she said. "There's just so much to see, and it's really cool. This is [Willow's] second CMAs. She was a princess last time."
Pink will celebrate her 14th wedding anniversary to the motocross racer in January. She said "he deserves a trophy" and that she feels "lucky" they are still together.
While talking about her husband, she also said they "fight for each other." Pink stunned audiences at the CMAs donning an orange dress and a fedora, while her family sported their own unique styles.
She looked gorgeous in a flowing tawny gown, which featured a darker orange top and a slim belt that cinched around her waist. The 'Just Give Me A Reason' singer wore a matching scarf around her throat to complete her look. Furthermore, she spiced her ensemble up with a black flat-brim fedora with gold and orange ribbons around the base.
