Several multi-million dollar mansions in Los Angeles in the celebrity residential area of Pacific Palisades are facing a massive threat from wildfires.

A-listers such as Sofia Richie took to their social media to share pictures of the 40-acre blaze as it made its way into the area. Other celebrities such as Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Kobe Bryant also call the area home. Officials from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to an emergency call at about 10.40am on Monday.

An hour into the firefight the blaze took over 30 acres of land and was threatening homes located near Vista Grande Drive and Charmel Lane. Some of these homes are estimated to be valued at over $4million. Several residents could be seen fleeing as the fire took over the lavish community.

By 3pm local time, the fire had taken over roughly 40 acres. According to an LAFD spokesperson, no structures have been damaged yet. A firefighter has been taken to the UCLA Medical Center after suffering from heat exhaustion, though there are no other reports of injuries. The LAFD also ordered the evacuation of the area at around 12.30pm.

The warning read, "There is a Mandatory Evacuation Order for all residents within the area bordered by Charmel Lane on the West, Bienveneda Avenue on the East, the end of Lachman Lane on the North, and Merivale Lane on the South. All persons in this area are directed to leave NOW in a calm and orderly manner. This is due to both potential fire and smoke behavior as well as the pending arrival of large fixed-wind retardant dropping aircraft".

The fire was growing at a terrifying rate as 300 firefighters and personnel from the LAFD worked to put it out. Several Fire Department helicopters were attacking the blaze using water drops. The cause of the blaze has not yet been identified.
