BETHEL PARK, PENNSYLVANIA: A man is in jail facing multiple charges, including kidnapping, in connection to the disappearance of a Bethel Park woman who has been missing since September 15.

John Chapman confessed on Friday, November 15, to murdering 33-year-old Jaime Feden, after driving her to Las Vegas sometime around September 25, suffocating her, and leaving her to die, according to a WPXI report.

Speaking to the outlet, Chapman's wife revealed she had no idea what was going on until he called her on Friday morning from the Bethel Park Police Department.

"He said he had murdered a woman," Maureen Chapman recalled. "I was in disbelief." And now developments have caused her to question their whole relationship and what she referred to as Chapman's "double life", as he lied about his job and pretended to visit family.

According to Maureen, her husband called her around 6 am on Friday and confessed to murdering Feden."I killed her because I had to," Chapman told his wife.

He apparently told Maureen he was going to Las Vegas in her truck for a work trip following a visit to his aunt's in Bethel Park. "Oh, my God, it's sick. It's really sick," Maureen said. "I just want the truth as to what happened. I feel I'm owed that."

Speaking to WPIX, Chapman's family said he met Feden at either a high school or college for specially-abled students, where he claimed to have several other friends. Chapman, according to the police, would often stay back at Feden's Bethel Park residence.

Authorities recounted how Chapman allegedly convinced Feden to drive into the desert for a photoshoot before he bound her hands and feet with zip ties and tied her to a signpost, according to our earlier report.

He also allegedly duct-taped her mouth and nose, which caused the victim to suffocate and die.

Following her death, Chapman allegedly removed the tape, zip ties, as well as Feden's clothing before leaving her near the signpost in Nevada and driving back to Bethel Park.

The criminal complaint stated how Chapman used Feden's cellphone to send messages to her family while pretending to be her. The victim's family recounted to authorities how they grew increasingly worried considering her "tumultuous past" with Chapman.

Officials in Nevada are still working to determine the identity of a body they found on October 5 after it was found to match Feden's description.
