Pearl Jam confirms release of new album after releasing surprise single 'Can't Deny Me': Listen

As we reported earlier, over the weekend, Pearl Jam surprise-released a brand new single exclusively to members of their official 'Ten Club' fan club. The song, a typical, politically charged track called 'Can’t Deny Me', has now received a wide release, reports CoS.

But it turns out that 'Can't Deny Me', which was a not-so-subtle hit at President Trump, was just a first taste of more to come. Indeed, the era of 90's alternative revival is in full swing and has taken on more steam now. A press release from the band recently confirmed that “Can’t Deny Me” serves as the first preview of Pearl Jam’s new album, the follow-up to their 2013 album 'Lightning Bolt'. Nothing much has been revealed about the album yet and there is reportedly no working title so far but the press release does confirm that a new album is due soon.

'Can't Deny Me' was co-produced by the band and longtime collaborator Brendan O'Brien and was recorded in Seattle in February. The music for the track was written by guitarist Mike McCready and lyrics by singer Eddie Vedder. Artwork for the single was created by bassist Jeff Ament and videographer Kevin Shuss. Spotify and Apple Music users can listen to the track below:
