The fourth season of 'Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj' is all set to drop on Netflix on August 4. According to Variety, the upcoming installment of the show will shine the spotlight on the modern cultural and political landscape. Just like the previous segments, it will feature comedic monologues and interviews with celebrity guests.
Putting the news out for their fans and followers, the official account of Patriot Act tweeted: "Hey there — just letting you know that we have a new episode coming out this Sunday. RT this if you'd like other people to know."
The new season starring Hasan Minhaj is slated for an August 4 release on Netflix.
The official synopsis of the show reads: "Every Sunday, Hasan Minhaj brings an incisive and nuanced perspective to global news, politics and culture in his unique comedy series." This time, there is much focus on video games and labor. "Video games are bigger than ever, but the people who make them are often exploited. Hasan takes a look at the darker side of the gaming industry," the description on Netflix reads.
As the host and comedian, Hasan Minhaj brings a satirical twist to the changing political colors across the world. The former 'Daily Show' correspondent won a Peabody Award for 'Patriot Act' and his comedy special 'Homecoming King' on Netflix. In April 2019, Minhaj was listed among TIME's 100 most influential people in the world.
The series has been created by Hasan Minhaj and Prashanth Venkataramanujam with Richard A. Preuss as the director. Produced by Margolis Superstore Minhaj Inc, it has Jim Margolis, Michelle Caputo, Jennie Church-Cooper and Shannon Hartman onboard as executive producers.
In a clip posted for Volume 4, Hasan Minhaj can be seen mocking the gender discrimination and sexism in the gaming industry.

Another clip that revolved around the racist names of American places was shared by 'Patriot Act by Hasan Minhaj' on YouTube. "As of 2015, there were at least 1,441 federally recognized places in the United States with racial slurs in their names. Hasan takes a look at some of these streams, rivers, mountains, and other landmarks and discusses the process for changing their names to something less racist. Hasan then travels to a location in New York City with an offensive name and tries to change it once and for all," the caption read.
