'Palm Royale' Episode 9 Preview: Maxine Simmons to make startling discovery about Douglas Dellacorte

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Maxine Simmons (Kristen Wiig) and Douglas Dellacorte's (Josh Lucas) seemingly perfect marriage, in Apple TV+'s 'Palm Royale', has had its ups and downs. Even though they have managed to get past all the differences so far, troubles between them don't seem to end anytime soon.
When Maxine discovered that Douglas kept his engagement with Linda Shaw (Laura Dern) a secret, she lost her calm and their relationship went off the rails for a brief moment. Maxine, however, was able to look past the revelation, knowing that he had always loved her.
However, in 'Palm Royale' Episode 8, it is revealed that Douglas recently had a casual affair with Mitzi (Kaia Gerber). As Douglas tries to keep it a secret, viewers anticipate the couple's fate if Maxine ever learns the truth.

After an exciting turn of events, anticipation for 'Palm Royale' Episode 9 is quite high. As per the schedule, it will be out on Apple TV+, on May 1, 2024.

What to expect in 'Palm Royale' Episode 9?
Douglas is trying hard to keep his secret safe although he is no longer involved with Mitzi. To ensure the secrecy, he has paid Mitzi to leave the town and has also requested Robert Diaz to keep it to himself.
However, we speculate that she is most likely to find out Douglas's truth. If it happens, it would be interesting to see how she reacts to it and whether will she ever be able to forgive Douglas.
On the other hand, Maxine too has a secret of her own. When she was struggling with Douglas' past with Linda, she threw herself at Robert, although nothing happened between them as he is gay. It could be possible that someone might find her secret out, but again, these are only speculations. Only time can tell what the future for 'Palm Royale' holds.
