Plot
‘Ozark’ follows the Byrde household who flee Chicago after a money-laundering scheme of Marty Byrde's (Jason Bateman) goes terribly wrong and start a new life in Ozarks. However, the family gets involved with the local criminals and Mexican drug cartels as they navigate their lives in the new town.
Season 3 ends with Helen getting shot in the head by Navarro’s men, as the Byrdes strike a deal with the drug lord to retain their position in the Byrde enterprise. As the latest season ends with a lot of uncertainty, we could look forward to several story arcs in the next installment.
One of them could be a newly formed association between the Darlene Snell and the Langmores. Now that Darlene has laid her trust in Ruth after the latter decided to cut ties with the Byrdes following Ben’s killing, we could expect a clash between the Byrdes and their former employee.
Also, Jonah Byrde is living with the impression that his mother took her own brother’s life. He made it clear to his parents that he hates them and their ways. Does that mean he will walk his own path owing to the impact Ben’s death has had on him?
