'Our Cartoon President' has a habit of hitting a little close to home with its satirical takes on President Donald Trump. As the elections loom dangerously close in reality, Trump continues to attract hatred and flak for his campaigns and handling of the dangerous coronavirus pandemic that has ravaged the country. We know that Trump drew further hate for downplaying the illness and later changing his statements several times. The show 'Our Cartoon President' capitalizes on these moments, and the sharp jokes have made their way into the show.

And now, on the animated satirical show, Eric Trump decided to concoct a 'miracle' cure for the Covid-19 pandemic, and of course, everything goes haywire and there are numerous deaths. We've heard similar claims in reality, and we know the immense dangers that are behind such hurried cures. Of course, on the show, no responsibility is taken, because that's what might happen in real life too. The doctors are fumbling while a babbling Eric Trump doesn't know what to make of the situation. It's tragically funny because this show seems to hold up a mirror to what could actually happen in reality. Cartoon Donald Trump continues to waffle his way through interviews and still maintains that the Covid-19 is not a threat. He says, "Are we still talking about the coronavirus?" And proceeds to make fun of masks. The show does an expert job of getting his accent and idiosyncrasies right, including poking fun at the real Trump's method of diverting from real issues and going off on a tangent.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden is determined to become the face of the Democratic Party and seeks an overtly cheery Barack Obama's help. This wasn't really the fun part of the episode, as the show's strength lies in the president himself. Nevertheless, it made for a meagerly pleasant watch. The good part was that we got to see Bernie Sanders as well.

'Our Cartoon President' is a Showtime show and airs on Sundays at 8:30 pm.
