After facing hurdles due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 94th annual Academy Awards are finally here and celebrities are set to don the finest of dresses to attend Hollywood’s biggest night of the year. The ceremony, which moved to a new location last year, returned home this year, with a broadcast airing on Sunday, March 27, from the show’s long-time venue- the Dolby Theatre. This is the first time since the 2018 ceremony that the Academy Awards had a host. This year’s Oscars are being hosted by the dynamic trio of Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes.

The nominees for this year’s event have already been announced and it was Jane Campion’s ‘The Power of the Dog’ that scored the most number of nominees. The movie has been nominated for 12 Oscars, including Best Picture. The other contenders for the night’s biggest prize include ‘Belfast’, ‘CODA’, ‘West Side Story’, ‘Drive My Car’, ‘Don’t Look Up’, ‘Dune’, ‘King Richard’, ‘Licorice Pizza’, and ‘Nightmare Alley’.
