The 37-year-old actor's fall off the stage was captured by the shutterbugs and he looked like his fall hit him by immense surprise. He fell off the Oscars stage into the audience area after the ceremony had concluded. His love for the statue was also clear - as he fell off, he did his best to keep the golden statue hoisted. He was helped up by people around the area after he hit the ground.

Malek received paramedical care afterward. His injuries are unknown at this time. Malek's rep has not yet released a statement after the fall.
