Malaysian king's beauty queen ex says she got a call from woman claiming to be his wife two days after marriage
The Russian beauty queen who married the former king of Malaysia has revealed how she answered his phone two days after their wedding, only to have a Czech model shout at her and claim that she was his wife. Oksana Voevodina and her ex-husband Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan are feuding after their short-lived marriage. 27-year-old Voevodina revealed that just two days after their nuptials, she answered her husband's phone when he was in the bathroom and saw that the phone displayed the name 'Bob'.
As reported by Daily Mail, she shared, "Two days later occurred the moment which changed everything. My husband was in the bathroom. His phone rang, displaying the name Bob. I was sure it was his mate or his American friend who wanted to congratulate us on the wedding. I picked up the phone and heard an hysterical female voice yelling at me: 'I am his wife. And never dare to pick up the phone of my husband.'"
Oksana shared that the woman called herself Diana Petra which is her Islamic name. She said that it resulted in an argument with her new husband whom she calls Faris. "Faris came out of the bathroom and I asked what was going on. He took the phone and went into another room. He came back after a while and told me it's his former wife who didn't know about me and got upset," she revealed.
"He also said there some questions between them about property were not sorted out yet. Faris told me I was the only wife. And my wedding certificate was given to the first and the only wife," Oksana said.
The two are stuck in a bitter financial settlement and also a paternity case over her 9-month-old son, Leon, who the Sultan denies is his. Sultan has not acknowledged her child who Oksana says is his only son and heir. The monarch had used Islamic law to divorce Voevodina and the two are locked in a bitter financial battle.
The pair had married in a low key Islamic ceremony in Malaysia in June 2018. He had abdicated the throne when details of his wedding to Oksana leaked in Russia. Five months later, he ended the marriage via Islamic law.
