A woman reportedly threatened to shoot a man after he demanded that she wear a mask inside a grocery store. The unidentified woman, now dubbed 'NRA Karen', was captured on video as she waited near the cash register of a Stater Bros in Beaumont, California. The person filming was heard telling her, "The state says you have to wear a mask." In response, the woman appeared to shoo him away. "Bye," she said, waving her hands. The shopper then turned to the employee at the register and said, "I have a mask but I'll have an anxiety attack in two minutes so…"

The person filming the video then interrupted the woman, demanding: "Just wear a mask." "I really will … I have a medical condition. I have a note," the unidentified woman told the employee. The fellow shopper continued to demand that she wear the mask, before she looked directly at him and warned: "You are not videotaping me because you will get shot outside in this parking lot."

The complaining shopper then told 'NRA Karen' that he's summoning the authorities, to which she said "go ahead." However, she eventually pulled out a mask and told him, "I'll put my mask on."

While it is unclear when the footage was captured, California issued a mask mandate in the middle of June, requiring a face-covering in public or while waiting in a public line.

"Exceptions are for children under two years old, anyone with respiratory issues where it would impede their breathing, anyone unable to remove the mask without help, and anyone with a medical condition, mental health condition, or disability that does not allow them to wear a mask," according to the Daily Mail. California recently became the state with the highest number of COVID-19 cases, surpassing New York. At the time of writing this article, the Golden State had more than 433,000 cases and 8190 deaths, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

Multiple recent videos have emerged where customers in several stores in the United States have refused to wear masks amid the coronavirus pandemic despite store policies. Yesterday, we reported how a video of an unmasked woman, also dubbed a "Karen", went viral on social media after she was filmed having a meltdown at a Papa Murphy's pizza restaurant in Kennewick, Washington. The woman in the clip was seen blasting the employees who refused her service. The eatery's employees reportedly had insisted that she wear a face covering and wait outside for her turn.

The unidentified woman, however, slammed the staff of the pizza joint and insisted that the founding fathers would back her on her right to not wear a face mask amid a pandemic. She reportedly stressed her "Constitutional right" for pizza and said that she could roam without a mask citing the "American Disability Act." The woman, at one point, also suggested that she was hard of hearing, indicating that she wanted the staff to remove their masks too. "I have a right to speak my mind, and I have a right to see your lips," she was heard saying in the video.
