American nu-metal titans Korn and the wildly fantastic Faith No More have given us some epic news. The two of the biggest forces in rock made an announcement on February 18 of a co-headline North American tour.

The two formidable rock icons will be sharing the stage this summer on each night of the tour which kicks off August 7 in Denver, Colorado, at the Pepsi Center and wraps up at St. Louis's Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre on September 17 in Maryland Heights, Missouri. The Pepsi Center is a multi-purpose sports arena that has featured over 600 concerts by big names in the music industry, including Post Malone, Cher, Twenty One Pilots, Tool, Jonas Brothers and Blink 182.

The tour, produced by Live Nation, will also consist of special guest performances by Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway (Malakian is best known as the guitarist/second vocalist for System of a Down), Spotlights, Helmet and '68 on select dates, according to Blabbermouth.

Apart from a couple of comments declaring, "f**k yeah" at the announcement of the tour on Twitter, many fans were elated, saying, "Korn, Helmet & Faith No More in one show is UnReal! Awesome! (sic)" and "What a time to be alive". There were many comments from fans in Ireland, Australia, Indonesia, Germany who were pleading for the bands to perform in their country.

Both Korn and Faith No More skyrocketed to fame particularly in the 1990s and changed the face of what was considered "metal" at the time with their unique twist on the genre. This tour comes as a surprise to fans, especially for those who have followed the heavy metal scene for a large span of their lives. One such fan commented, "Got my tix. Bringing my son and now grandson. Last FNM show I left the pit with a double herniated disc".

Tickets go on presale through Citi Entertainment and Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase the presale tickets from February 18 till February 20.
