NFL Draft 2020: San Francisco 49ers pick Javon Kinlaw and fans love his dad's 'drop and roll' celebration

A reaction video shows his father getting off the sofa and rolling on the ground while the rest of the family cheers in the background

Fans of the San Francisco 49ers had every reason to celebrate during round 1 of the NFL Draft 2020 on Thursday, April 23. The team picked up 22-year-old Javon Kinlaw and the football defensive tackle's dad was probably the one happier than everyone else.

ESPN Twitter captured a reaction video of his father getting off the sofa and rolling on the ground while the rest of the family cheered in the background. 

"X gonna have you to ya," was one of the first tweets. "Stop drop and roll lol," read another tweet. "Looks like the Travolta meme," tweeted one of the fans.  You can watch the reaction clip here:

One fan explained the logic behind 49ers taking Kinlaw. "Get what the 49ers did. Need a strong D line because the NFC West has 3 other good QBs. 2 of the mobile which killed us last year. Need somebody to chase them around," he observed.

Coming back, "His dad looks like the type to say 'hey son, let ya pops hold $50 real quick'," read one of the troll tweets. "That's not funny right now! He's in that 'Rona age group," said a fan. "When there’s fire… Drop and roll," wrote another. "This is how you should act when you hear your name called during the draft," exclaimed a fan. 

Some fans noted that Kinlaw had quite a bit of people at home and some of the fans had a laugh about how Kinlaw and co. actually didn't pay any attention to social distancing.

"That's more than 10 people in the house," joked a fan. "I like how they tried to hide how many people were there. Then all 30 people end up in the shot," said another.

Spread across three days and seven rounds, the 2020 NFL Draft will begin on April 23, Thursday, at 8 pm ET and go on till 12 pm ET on Saturday, April 25. Here's the official schedule:

Thursday, April 23: Round 1 — 8 pm ET
Friday, April 24: Rounds 2 to 3 — 7 pm ET
Saturday, April 25: Rounds 4 to 7 — 12 pm ET
