Newborn girl found abandoned in the middle of rural California road in frigid temperatures with umbilical cord still attached
Police are on the lookout for a Hispanic woman in her 20s after the little girl was discovered by a newspaper delivery person in the roadway in Madera on Monday, February 11
Police are on the hunt for a woman who they say left her newborn baby girl, who still had an umbilical cord attached to her, in the middle of a rural California road in what was described to be "frigid temperatures" just below 30 degrees.
According to a press release by the Madera County Sheriff's Office, Corporal Chris Williams responded to a call for a reported abandoned infant in the roadway in the 35000 block of Avenue 13 ½ in Madera at 4:30 am on Monday, February 11.
