Yankees vs Rays: Ben Heller gets ejected for hitting Renfroe, upset fans say MLB has become 'soft as f**k now'
Yankees fans were furious when umpires ejected pitcher Ben Heller for hitting Rays right fielder Hunter Renfroe. The clip is doing the rounds on Twitter where Heller sends a scorcher that Renfroe gets plunked with and despite him lifting his hands as a gesture of saying sorry, the umpires convened and drew him out. The reaction didn't sit well with fans as they slammed the refs and the game.
Most of the comments were about the umpires lacking common sense and how upsetting it was to actually sit through a game when incidents like these unfold. You can watch the clip here:

"That’s BS. Clearly unintentional. That’s the worst possible thing that could happen to us right there. Awful," wrote one of the fans.

For a fan, it was plain stupid. "Total embarrassment," he wrote.
For one of the fans, it was just how the game's changed over time. "I forgot the Mlb is soft as f**k now," he tweeted.

Most fans argued that it was the mistake of the refs on the decision. "What an absolute joke. These umpires have no common sense."

"its almost like, and hear me out here, the umps and MLB don't know what the f**k they're doing," a tweet read.

Some fans just had enough. "Seriously. I missed baseball early on. But between Manfred, the umps, and inconsistency in the game I really think I need a break."

And the flurry of complaints just continued. "This might be the worst game I’ve ever seen in my 25 years of being alive," a fan wrote.

At the time of writing, the game is currently in the mid 6th with the Rays and the scoreline reading 5-0. The game earlier made headlines when it was stopped at the bottom of the first thanks to a drone delay making it the third in the season. The first came during a Twins-Pirates game in August and the second happened during the tussle between the Red Sox and the Rays.
What are your thoughts on Heller's ejection during the game?
