New trend alert: Working out naked could be the answer to your fitness woes
There are many reasons why you should work out naked and it is time to ditch those sports clothes.
Instead of spending vast amounts of money on expensive sportswear and sports gear, you may want to consider ditching it all and working out in your birthday suit. A new study has found that working out naked could definitely help boost the way you see yourself and can increase your self-confidence.
This could be just what you need to stay motivated and help the way you look at yourself. According to a personal trainer, Keith McNiven believes that despite how crazy it sounds, working out naked could definitely be beneficial. He states that working out naked can help to maximize your workout time and time again.
A gym in New York City, Hanson Fitness, is a chain used by multiple celebrities such as Tyra Banks, Rihanna, and Sandra Bullock and has started taking three weekly naked workout classes; one for men, one for women, and one for both. For people who are still not used to this idea were advised to wear nude underwear.
According to the gym's Facebook page, "The class is designed to be a total body workout that uses your body weight as resistance to work the glute, butt, leg, and core, making you look and feel good naked. Exercising in the nude provides a number of benefits, including skin breathing, the release of endorphins due to Vitamin D from sunlight and complete body awareness so you can see if you're cheating on your exercise routines."
The gym would like to keep the workout duration to about roughly an hour and consists of mostly fast-paced movements. They were very clear on the fact there will be no lying down exercises and most of the exercises will be standing up with a lot of movements.
The class will be the first of its kind and they will decide whether or not to introduce more classes or not once they have received enough feedback from their first few sessions. " If we think someone is there for the wrong reasons, we will kick them out immediately," he continued.
Hanson believes that the naked work out could actually be the next big thing after seeing the amount of success his naked classes achieved. In his very words, "The response has been overwhelming. We received over 500 phone calls and Facebook messages overnight. This could actually turn into a serious business."
Hanson revealed the reason he decided to come up with the naked work out classes. After hearing about the benefits of working out naked from one of his clients, he was very taken up with the idea of a naked workout. The client spoke about how amazing she felt after the workout and how empowering it was. This motivated Hanson to start the naked workout classes.

The problem with wearing clothes during your workout is the fact that you can get distracted by how you are looking and will constantly try to re-adjust them. According to McNiven, any sort of cloth which is contact with your skin is not allowing your skin to breathe.

One cannot deny the fact that working out naked will allow you to observe and identify the parts of your body which you would like to work on and you will actually get to see your muscles work. You will get an understanding of how strong you are and which areas of your body have enough muscle.

Make sure to look at your reflection in the mirror as you work out and this will help you to mark your progress.
