'Dating Around' has been heavily appreciated for featuring people across the gender spectrum. Season 2 is no different. Episode 3 of 'Dating Around' introduced us to Deva Mahal, who identifies herself as bisexual. In the episode, Deva went on a string of dates with various men and women. One of them was a man named True.

True instantly made an impression on Deva with his dapper dressing style, but as the date progressed, the attraction quickly faded. When Deva mentioned that she lived in New Zealand for a bit, instead of asking her about her experience of staying abroad, he openly wondered why anybody would go to "the growth on the neck of Australia". His insensitive remark set the tone for the disaster of a date.

Deva was offended with True's snide comment and called him out for his inappropriate remark. Later, when they sat down for dinner, he once again chided Deva for not allowing him to taste her food. When she doesn't allow him to taste food off her plate, he says that people who don't share food are 'more likely' to kick puppies. He leaves her speechless with his wildly controversial and problematic statements. After displaying his racist side, it is time for him to showcase his sexist side. Towards the end of the date, when Deva is dropping him off, they engage in some small talk. True decides to share his dating woes with her by expressing how difficult it is for him to find girls to date. He then goes on to explain how he exclusively dates only bisexual women, because he needs his partner to appreciate and admire women and their bodies as much as he does. He also reveals that he is polyamorous, which makes it all the more different.

Deva wasn't even one bit surprised on hearing about True's polyamorous tendencies. She says she expected it from him. He then tells her that he likes having multiple women in his relationship but no men. Out of curiosity, Deva asks him if any of the women he is dating can date other men. He immediately says no. When Deva tries pointing out to him that his expectations might come off as 'sexist', he refuses to acknowledge it. The date ended with Deva rolling her eyes at him out of frustration. It goes without saying that she didn't pick the sexist guy who wasn't even willing to open his mind to others' viewpoints.

'Dating Around' is all set to premiere on Friday, June 12, on Netflix.
