'The Voice' contestant John Holiday is no stranger to compliments and praises from coaches. After managing to get a four-chair turn during the blind auditions, and crushing the battles round, Holiday was ready to take on the knockouts round. For the knockouts round John was pitted against fellow Team John Legend contestant, Cami Clune.

Before their final knockout performance, Holiday and Cami had a rehearsal round with John Legend and mega coach Usher. Cami picked the song 'I Put a Spell on You' by Screamin' Jay Hawkins for her performance. Cami's beautiful yet broody voice impressed both Usher and John Legend. But Usher felt that Cami could make the song a bit more eery and encouraged her not to shy away from showcasing all her impressive vocal skills.

It was Holiday's turn, and he picked the song 'All by Myself' by Eric Carmen, but decided to go with Celine Dione's cover of it. Once Holiday began his performance, Usher stared at him in disbelief, and he later wondered what mistake he made in his lifetime to not be blessed with the ability of singing high notes like Holiday. John Legend too couldn't stop praising John but gave him the feedback to open up and connect more with the song.

When it was finally time to perform on the stage in front of the coaches, both the contestants gave an exceptional performance. While Cami's eery and sensuous performance left the coaches in awe, Holiday's high notes and stage presence impressed the coaches. After Holiday's performance, when it was Gwen Stefani's turn to give her feedback, she had nothing to say. She was so taken in by his vocals that she joked about "quitting and retiring" from the show, because she had nothing to say to Holiday. She praised both the singers for their talents and expressed her gratitude for being a coach on the show and witnessing wonderful singers like them.

Finally, it was time for John Legend to pick the winner, and it came as no surprise when he declared Holiday the winner. Fans too were pleased with John's decision. A fan tweeted, ".@johnlegend #VoiceKnockouts You have a Winner in John Holiday, he is Fantastic." Another fan wrote, "OK sitting here watching #TheVoice & John Holiday has such an amazing voice. I literally was making audible gasps & speaking to TV saying there is no way that his voice is that perfectly smooth & jaw dropping! I’ve been watching since Season 1 & that was best performance by far!" "Just give John Holiday the win because he sang the hell out of that song!! #TheVoice #VoiceKnockouts," declared a fan.
