Responding to calls of "Fill The Seat" from conservatives after the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said during an appearance on MSNBC that President Donald Trump's hurry to replace RBG with a candidate of his choice was because the GOP wanted to repeal Obamacare. A clip of her interview was uploaded to her Twitter page with the caption, "Republicans are rushing to get someone on the Supreme Court because they want to obliterate the Affordable Care Act. Mark my words: they will pay for elections to come. -NP"

In the clip, she was heard saying, "The Republicans decided that they would be disrespectful and move ahead that very night by saying that they were going to have a vote on her replacement. Let's remember: This is a lifetime appointment. Somebody who could be there for thirty years. It's important to uphold the constitution of the United States. It should be done with care, whoever the president is. So the hypocrisy of the Republicans on this is really not important in people's daily lives but it is indicative that they don't keep their word. And this appointment -- The reason the president and (Senate) Leader (Mitch) McConnell are moving so quickly is because they want to overturn the Affordable Care Act."

Pelosi went into detail about what abolishing ACA would mean for the common people. "And when people understand, and they do, what this means in their lives - no more benefit of the preexisting condition, no more having your children be on your policy until 26 years old, no more having medicare expanded to cover longterm healthcare and the needs of our children with preexisting conditions, and returning to a time when being a woman is a preexisting medical condition. The people know that and that's why the Republicans are rushing - they wanna get it done... and you what? They'll be paying this price for elections to come," she said.

Despite her scathing words, the liberal social media users did not seem convinced that Pelosi or the Democratic lawmakers actually had the power to stop the Republicans from achieving their goal.

"Madam Speaker, I must tell you: many of your voters are giving up on you. You're playing neighborhood PTA and the other side has knives. If you folks won't GET SOMETHING DONE or at least SHOW US YOU'RE TRYING, you're going to lose many voters who see you doing nothing but talk," one said, while another wrote, "We need you to bring the fire and fury NOW. Republicans don't care about how history will view them or future risks. They only care about immediate gain & power. We don't have any more time for veiled threats & oblique warnings. Act NOW for democracy & for Americans in danger." A third said, "True, but that is little comfort for those of us about to lose our healthcare. I’ve played by the rules and been a good citizen and feel discarded by my country."

A fourth added, "The only way they will pay is to hold them accountable for everything they have done in the last 10 years, including restructuring the judicial system. They don't even need a 9th to destroy ACA now." A fifth remarked, "How about making the pay now? Our republic is hanging by a thread so we can’t make any assumptions about future elections."

NPR previously reported that the 87-year-old justice dictated a note to her granddaughter, Clara Spera, in the final days of her life which read: "My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed." During a 'Fox & Friends' interview on Monday, September 21, Trump claimed, without evidence, that Justice Ginsburg’s "dying wish" might have been written by a senior Democrat like Representative Adam Schiff of California, Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer or Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. "I don’t know that she said that, or if that was written out by Adam Schiff, and Schumer and Pelosi," Trump said. "That came out of the wind. It sounds so beautiful, but that sounds like a Schumer deal, or maybe Pelosi or Shifty Schiff."
