'Nailed It! Holiday': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about Netflix's festive baking fail show

What do you get when a bunch of aspiring home chefs compete to create baking masterpieces that can only be gently termed as bake fails? Endless entertainment.

Lots of sugar, whipped cream, and tasty treats — what's not to like? Netflix's 'Nailed It!' returns with its holiday edition and is all set to cash in on the festive spirit. Much like every season, this one too promises to be hilarious and relatable, albeit with a good pinch of Christmas.

What sets the show apart is its format — never pretentious, 100% quirky. What do you get when a bunch of aspiring home chefs compete to create baking masterpieces that can only be gently termed as bake fails? Endless entertainment. The chefs are unapologetic about their shortcomings, ever-smiling and willing to try harder each time to earn the grand cash prize of $10,000.

There's certainly a positive vibe about the show and makes for a great holiday tv-viewing experience. Remember the Donald Trump cake from the maiden season? That was only the beginning of all things fun!

Release Date

The six-episode competition series, 'Nailed It! Holiday', drops on Netflix on November 22.

Cast

Hosts Nicole Byer and Jacques Torres return with a whole new slate of guests for the winter edition who will be navigating some of the epic bake fails, and they are Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell, David Burkta, Bridget Everett, Jason Mantzoukas and Ron Ben Israel.

Adding to the show will be Byer's go-for-it attitude. She believes because the show celebrates failing and encourages learning from your own mistakes, it has done well so far. "I got no direction. So I did what I thought was funny. I think people like the show because it’s a bunch of people failing up. And it kind of shows that you don’t have to be perfect. You can, you know, fail until you figure it out," Byer told Washington Post.

Trailer

If the trailer is anything to go by, 'Nailed It! Holiday' is going to be one joy ride.
