Whitney Thore has always been upfront and vocal about her thoughts on body positivity and her time on the show reflects just that. Whitney received the offer to do the show after she uploaded a video on social media of her dancing and since then, her life has changed forever.

While the show hopes to make people more comfortable and confident in their skin, viewers have recently started picking up cues that might make them believe that the show is fake.

It all started when one Reddit user uploaded a picture that was taken from Season 4 of the show.  In that particular episode, Whitney was covering the pride parade when she was approached by a person from the crowd.

The mean guy told Whitney that it was a good thing she was working on the radio because people would not have been able to see her on TV. While there is no doubt that the comment was uncalled for, fans were shocked when the user pointed out that the guy who had made the comment was wearing a microphone.

Seeing this, viewers started thinking if all this was staged and done just to spice up the reality show. However, this was not the only instance that was pointed out by eagle-eyed fans of the show. The Reddit thread pointed out a series of examples as to why the show could be fake.

Another user shared about an instance on the show in which Whitney had gone for a tour when her VR had been vandalized. The vandals wrote "Fat B****h" on her VR but people wondered how conveniently all this was written on the graphical sticker that could be easily removed and not the part where her face was placed.

These examples upset ardent fans as they doubted the credibility of the show. While many acknowledged the fact that Whitney might have had to face a similar situation in reality, they did not think it was right to plant people just for the sake of boosting the show's ratings.

'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on TLC.
