Weighing 708lbs, Christina Phillips knew she could not go on living her life like she were. Her weight made it hard for her to move around while also putting a full stop on her daily activities. When Christina appeared on 'My 600-lb Life', she was helped by her husband, Zach. Zach and Christina's family would often help her with food while making sure all her daily needs were fulfilled.

Zach loved Christina for how she looked and had no complaints about her weight. He hinted that Christina's weight was what he loved about her. He would help her with taking a shower while also bringing her the junk food that she always craved for. Unfortunately, with her weight increasing, Christina's confidence was also affected.

She became conscious of the way she looked and worried about people judging her for her looks. It reached a point where she decided it would be best for her to stay indoors. Christina confessed that she would step out of the house late at night to make sure no one saw her as the shame of her weight had taken over her life.

When she appeared on the show, she finally got a chance to turn her life around. With Zach and Dr Younan Nowzaradan by her side, she knew she could achieve anything. Like always, Dr Nowzaradan advised Christina to be on a strict diet while also motivating her to do some exercise.

With the will and determination to get approved for the surgery, Christina managed to shed enough weight to convince Dr Nowzaradan that she was ready for the surgery. While her excitement of turning her life around came nearer, her relationship with her husband turned sore.

Zach did not appreciate the new direction in which Christina's life was going. With her losing more weight, Christina was ready to be independent but it was turning out to be a scenario that Zach was not happy to witness.

Despite this, Christina continued to go ahead with the weight loss surgery and was dedicated to shedding a lot of weight once the surgery went successfully. She got back to eating healthy and exercising regularly. Her efforts paid off as she lost 525lbs. However, things did not go the way she had expected as Christina's weight loss also led her to an eating disorder.

With the fear of putting on more weight, Christina developed anorexia instead. She started watching what she ate with the fear of gaining extra pounds and it reached a point where her health began to become a concern again. Her weight loss went to the extent that she was asked to gain 15lbs more to reach a stage where she would be healthy.

While she managed to change her life around by losing the weight, filing a divorce with her husband and dealing with her eating disorder happened to be another thing that she had to take care of. Despite this, she managed to be happy about the change and is now focusing on positive things in life.

'My 600-lb Life' airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on TLC.
