'Ghosted: Love Gone Missing': Jayday reveals why he ghosted Shannon and it is not her pansexuality or partying

Wednesday night's (September 9) episode of 'Ghosted: Love Gone Missing' featured Milwaukee native Shannon. She is a single mother and a club promoter by profession. She met a comedian named Jayday in the latter half of 2018 and the two got romantically involved in April 2019. Things were great between them but come September 2019, he ghosted her without a trace. Why did he do that? To find an answer to this question, Shannon reached out to 'Ghosted' hosts Rachel Lindsay and Travis Mills and here's what they found out but before that a little back story.

September 2019 is when Shannon realized she was ghosted. The two were about to go on a date and while she waited for him to pick her up, he did not turn up. The next day she noticed all of the pictures of them together were missing from his social media feed. She tried sending him a text on his phone but soon realized that she was blocked. They still followed each other on social media and he even liked her photos and kept viewing her stories but never really sent a text explaining his behavior.

Shannon and Jayday were two completely different personalities. While she was out there, living her life, exuding confidence and mingling with a lot of people and partying at her club, Jayday was very subdued in comparison. He stayed away from alcoholic drinks as well and Shannon thought this might be one of the reasons he decided to stop associating with her. During the investigation, Travis and Rachel also found out from Shannon's friend OROYAL that Shannon was holding a secret and maybe that would be the reason she was ghosted. They went back to her and asked to share what she didn't tell them initially and she opened up about her sexuality. Shannon admitted to being attracted to being pansexual and now the question was if that's what led to Jayday's disappearance.

However, that wasn't the case. The real reason he stopped talking to her because he was already married at that point. Shannon was literally quaking in anger but he reasoned out saying he was separated when they were dating and when he ghosted her finally, it was because his wife made him choose what he wanted. He further added that since Shannon was out and about, hobnobbing with the who's who, he didn't feel secure enough and he chose what was safe for him at that point. However, this didn't save his marriage and on being asked by the hosts, he said he indeed needs one more chance to make things right with Shannon. The latter was happy to provide him one but she was not ready to start dating him off the bat. The only reason she took him back was that she believes everyone deserves a second chance and this was what it was for Jayday.

'Ghosted: Love Gone Missing' airs Wednesdays at 9 pm on MTV.
