Scarlett Johansson is slimed by Colin Jost on MTV Awards, her 'what the f**k' reaction leaves fans in splits

The actress was in the middle of her speech after receiving the Generation Award when her husband decided to play a slimy prank on her

You know that you're a bonafide sex symbol when you manage to look radiant even when covered with slime. Scarlett Johansson fans found out just that, thanks to her husband Colin Jost. Most wives would not take kindly to their significant others messing up their hair and makeup on an awards night and Johansson is no exception. Clearly though, the actress must be used to pranks and jokes since her husband is a 'Saturday Night Live' star.

Johansson received the Generation Award at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards. For the actor, who we have seen morph from a child star to a Hollywood heavyweight, it was an award that was well deserved. But it was Johansson cursing at her husband that delighted fans the most. Just when she was addressing her fans in the virtual speech, Jost decided to play a prank by dumping slime on her.

Jost said slime was appropriate for MTV Awards. To which a drenched Scarlet replied, "That's Nickelodeon." Jost tried to clean up the mess and apologize, but in vain. When Johansson asked where he even got the slime, he said it was Amazon.

Fans were in splits after the miffed actress reacted to the prank with "What the f**k?" One fan tweeted, "scarlett saying “what the fuck” is everything and made my whole night." Another said, "I have one word to describe #ScarlettJohansson even she's covered in green slime... Perfection!!" One more said, "How much did they pay him to do that? Cuz I don’t think he’d do it for nothing. Who wants to sleep on the couch for that long Rolling on the floor laughing." One more said, "She looked BEAUTIFUL (even with Slime)."

Speaking about her award, Johansson said, "This award really belongs to many hundreds of creative people all over the world. Thank you so much to my fans for riding the way with me and supporting my career so I can continue to have the good fortune to pursue the job that is my passion, and I realize what an absolute gift it is to have the opportunity to do what I love. I couldn't do it without your continued support. This award is made possible by all of you. It's because of that that it's so meaningful to me."

Slime aside, the actor also had another surprise for her fans as she debuted an exclusive clip from the much-awaited 'Black Widow'.

Fans, of course, can barely wait for the movie as one tweeted, "very cool. Has such a Ronin car chase feel to it. #BlackWidow."

'Black Widow' releases on July 9, 2021, which fans can watch in theatres or on Disney+ with Premier Access.
