‘Ms Marvel’ on Disney+: Iman Vellani hailed as 'perfect casting' by Kamala Khan fans

Audiences and fans have given their thumbs up to the emotionally nuanced and multi-layered story of the sixteen-year-old teenager Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani). Initially a scared clumsy wallflower, Kamala later comes into her own as a real-life Marvel superhero (Night Light) who has been destined to save the humanity and world from all sorts of evil and danger. They have also raved about how Kamala is the first Asian-American female superhero of Pakistani descent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Special mention to the fact that there has been an excellent representation of South Asian people in the series with references to the confluence of American and South Asian cultures. Hats off and kudos to the exceptional direction and captivating cinematography helmed by both Adil El Farbi and Bilall Fallah. It’s safe to say that ‘Ms Marvel’ has ended up creating a cult fan club of its own spanning the entire globe.

The series is based on Marvel comics character ‘Kamala Khan’ (Ms Marvel). Created and written by Bisha K Ali, the series has been produced by Marvel Studios. Kevin Feige and Bisha K Ali served as executive producers of this series.

Fans and audiences have finally watched the finale episode of the series which dropped yesterday. Ever since that moment, the internet is shook. Fans have immediately taken to Twitter and started giving in their reactions, especially applauding the riveting performance of newbie debutante Hollywood starlet Iman Vellani as both the sixteen-year-old teenager Kamala Khan and also the youngest female Marvel superhero Night Light who becomes the hero for her people in New Jersey. They have gotten smitten and awestruck by her superb acting chops as well.
