Mum shares 7-year-old's heartbreaking goodbye message, written on her arm during school lockdown
A note that one young student in Delaware scribbled on her arm during a school lockdown is now going viral. Shelley Harrison Reed, who is the mother of the 7-year-old student, posted the terrifying image on Facebook after her young daughter came home after a lockdown at the Odyssey Charter School in the Wilmington area on February 7.
She wrote along with the picture of her daughter with the words ""Love mom and dad" scrawled in purple marker on her arm: "So my kids (sic) school had a genuine lockdown today. Some whack job called in a bomb threat. Police came and everything was fine, Thank God!"
The Delaware News Journal wrote that Reed mentioned in the post that this had been the first school lockdown that her daughter and her 10-year-old son had experienced. The furious mother also wrote that the children appeared to be fine after they got home.
