NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Morning Joe’ on MSNBC comprehensively covered the GOP debate that took place on Thursday, August 24, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Joe Scarborough and Willie Geist were present to discuss the Republican candidate, as Scarborough made his stance against Vivek Ramaswamy seemingly clear to the nation.

In conversation with Geist, Scarborough labeled Ramaswamy a ‘conman’ and expressed his disappointment over how Ramaswamy allegedly treated his fellow debaters on stage.

According to Daily Mail, “Vivek Ramaswamy won the first Republican 2024 debate,” but it appears that Scarborough didn’t share the same opinion about the 38-year-old Indian-American entrepreneur.

Joe Scarborough talks about Vivek Ramaswamy as a ‘side issue’

Willie Geist discussed some of the “extraordinary” moments during the GOP debate.

Geist said, “The one where candidates were asked if Donald Trump is convicted of the crimes he is accused of, would you still support him, would you still vote for him.”

Joe Scarborough and Geist talked about Donald Trump and the willingness of 6 out of 8 GOP candidates to support him before Scarborough moved on to the “side issues” of the debate.

‘Morning Joe’ host Scarborough said, “You know, there were other side issues here, Vivek insulting everybody. He accused anybody that got in front of him of somehow being owned by some special interests. The cameraman, I’m sure accused him afterward.”

Scarborough continued, “He accused everybody, which again, it’s just such a con.” The ‘Morning Joe’ host also mentioned that he had a conversation with some spectators about the debate and they were sure that Ramaswamy would go up in the polls.

“He had canned answers, was a conman, but they’re going to love him for what he did. It’s kind of crazy,” said Scarborough about Ramaswamy.

Joe Scarborough agrees with former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie

As reported by the Wall Street Journal, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie accused Vivek Ramaswamy of sounding like ChatGPT. To that, Scarborough responded, “Chris Christie nailed it. He sounded like the ChatGPT candidate because everything was preprogrammed.”

Scarborough continued, “Everything was canned. Every response was like – if you had said what would a candidate running in the Republican nomination as president say to this question, again, everything perfectly canned.”

Amongst the candidates at the GOP debate, Scarborough believed Former Governor of South Carolina Nikki Haley did well.
