‘Modern Family’ is currently in its eleventh and last season. The mockumentary-styled series aside from entertaining us for more than a decade, played a key role in revolutionizing television sitcoms.

With the show only a few episodes away from concluding, we are looking forward to watching every episode with bated breath. But, much to our dismay, episode 7 has been delayed from airing due to the 53rd Annual Country Music Awards on ABC.

‘The Last Thanksgiving’ was scheduled to release November 20, instead of tonight, taking a break from its regular schedule. The next episode will go on air at the usual time next Wednesday.

We are quite sure fans aren’t pleased with the channel’s decision to push one of the most-awaited episodes. The previous episode ‘A Game of Chicken’ was one of the most unpredictable ones this season.

While Mitchell (Eric Stonestreet) expresses his desire to move to Missouri and start what he calls a “farmily” with Cameron (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons), Claire (Julie Bowen) calls it quits on her job, which had turned her into a mother to people she doesn’t love.

It was slightly overwhelming to watch the Dunphy kids work towards acquiring structured jobs, bidding goodbye to all the lunacy they offered us in the past ten seasons. Not that we wouldn’t be getting to witness some more of the craziness before the season ends, but our perceptions regarding each character was has been undeniably influenced by what we saw in the previous episode.

The cultural diversity ‘Modern Family’ offers has intrigued us for years. It has emerged as one of the best shows in the history of television for representing various facets associated with human relationships, with near perfection. The characters may not be the ideal fit in a conventional world, but who cares?

‘Modern Family’ Season 11 airs every Wednesday on ABC.
